Sri Lanka Tour - Trinity College - Kandy

29 Jun 2016 by Ken Salmon

Game 3 v Trinity College in Kandy.
We had a much better day today.
Trinity College (a school with 3500 boys) won the toss and batted. With rain expected the game was reduced to 35 overs. Trinity were all out for 158 with Luke Perry taking 4/34, Bailen Clarke 2/30, Nathan Kincaid 2/21, Lindsay Edwards 1/34 and Kevin Spaull, who did a great job as captain, 1/17. They were well backed up by keeper Tom Edwards who took 3 catches including 2 very good ones.
In reply the openers James Horn 22no and Bailen Clarke 15no had put on 40 from 9 overs when the rain came and the game had to be abandoned.
We play them again on Thursday. Let’s hope the rain stays away.
